Mariposa Pants are cut in a relaxed straight-leg silhouette from our signature 100% Bemberg™ cupro by Asahi Kasei, made in Japan from regenerated cotton linter. Exceptionally soft, breathable, and fluid, the fabric moves easily against the body with a distinctive silky hand and effortless drape.
Finished with French seams, side pockets, and an elasticated drawstring waist, the pants feature the same all-over composition of vintage butterfly and moth cards as the Mariposa Shirt. Monarchs, King Swallowtails, Blue Morphos, Moma orion, Virgin Tigers, and other specimens form a richly detailed natural archive across the garment.

Bemberg™ cupro is a regenerated cellulose fiber made in Japan by Asahi Kasei from cotton linter — the fine fibers that remain on the cotton seed after conventional cotton processing.
Exceptionally smooth and breathable, it has a soft hand and fluid drape that falls lightly against the body.
Asahi Kasei manufactures Bemberg™ using a closed-loop production system designed to recover and reuse materials used during fiber production.
